It’s why there’s nothing else like a Mac. MacOS is the operating system that powers every Mac. It lets you do things you simply can’t with other computers. That’s because it’s designed specifically for the hardware it runs on — and vice versa. MacOS comes with an entire suite of beautifully designed apps. MacOS (originally named 'Mac OS X' until 2012 and then 'OS X' until 2016) is the current Mac operating system that officially succeeded the classic Mac OS in 2001. Although the system was originally marketed as simply 'version 10' of Mac OS, it has a history that is largely independent of the classic Mac OS. OK, I tried adding the grim.wz mod on my Mac. The only trouble is that there is no place to put the file. I know it goes in the mods/global folder, but there is no such folder. I then tried to create the mods/global folder & put it in a warzone 2100 folder. Problem is I have TWO different places to put the folder & files. I attached a screenshot of both folder views.
The top folder views are in the Warzone 2100.app itself. You can only access those folder views by right clicking on the Warzone 2100 icon & going to 'show package contents'. I can see all the files/folders within the Warzone 2100.app but I have no idea where to place the grim.wz mod.
The bottom folder view is the Warzone 2100 folder in the 'Application Support' folder.
When I placed the grim.wz file inside various folders within those two locations & started a game, nothing would happen. no gfx changes. I just ignored the files.
Another question.
I cannot add '--cheat' or any other '--' command. If I right click on the Warzone 2100 icon & go to 'get info', I can then change the file name 'Warzone 2100.app'. but when I try to add the '--cheat' it asks me if I want to change the file name extension. When I click yes i can't start Warzone. The Warzone icon changes to a regular folder icon. When you click on it opens up like any regular folder. it doesn't startup like an application. I even created an alias & added the '--cheat' & it still doesn't allow me to enter debug mode when I start Warzone when clicking on the alias & starting Warzone.
The only way to start cheat mode(or any other mode that requires the '--' command) is to change the debugmode=0 line in the config file, in the Application Support/Warzone 2100 folders.
I attached another screenshot of the '--cheat' when added. The first Warzone on the left is the original application. The second(or middle) Warzone is the alias(or shortcut) with the '--cheat added' The 3rd Warzone from the left is a duplication of the original application but with the '--cheat' added on. The folder view shows the Warzone.app program as a file, alias, & folder(even though it is really a program). Mac OS even warns me that by changing the extension it will make the application(Warzone) appear as folder.
